Northeast Animal Shelter provides refuge, medical attention, and a second chance to suffering animals. A safe haven for homeless animals, they are continuously looking for innovative ways to advertise their adoptable animals, while raising money to house more. These testimonials explore the ideas of increasing Northeast’s reach through fun, colorful, compelling campaign and radio ads. No more sad stories, these campaigns focus on what they bring - Happiness. They are more than victims, they are survivors ready to embrace life again.
60 Second Radio Spot
The radio spot was scripted and recorded to give Northeast’s brand a competitive edge within its marketplace. Although radio is not as prevalent as it use to be, ad spots are making a huge comeback through other media outlets. Sound effects added to the background tell a complete story while engaging the listener. Voice, atmosphere, and music is friendly upbeat.
Target Audience
The goal for this campaign was to target a younger audience through use of color and innovative approach. The age range is between 19-35. They have a heart for animals but don't want a sad story (or guilt trip). Interested more in enjoying life, they want a pet who adds to that.
Design Goals & Solutions
Keeping in mind that Northeast is a non-profit organization, the goal was to bring awareness to their cause. This would allow exposure within the community.Each ad uses color and engaging imagery to attract attention, all focusing on the eyes and eye contact. Geometric shapes play a big role in bringing consistency and unification. It also shows movement, action, and the repetitive nature gives rhythm which ties back into the target audience being interested in the fun side of adopting.
